Abstract
The role of Vitamin B6 in lymphocytes injury induced by reactive oxygen species was examined in the spleen of Balb/c mice using ultraviolet radiation. The oxygenation injury of the lymphocytes in mice as blocked by catechin, flavon, α-lipotic acid, vitamin E, C and B6. The control mice fed perfect food were superior to the B6-deficient mice in the apoptotic reaction result from overexposure of the spleen lymphocytes to ultraviolet waves. These results indicate that the good nutrition reduce the risks of strong oxidant activity, are essential to the prevention of the cell death program. The consumption of food products containing moderate amounts of vitamin C, catechin, flavone, and vitamin B6 can lead to measurable and significant improvements in antioxidant status and biomarkers of oxidative stress in mice.
