Abstract
(Abstract )The purpose of this study is to examine the physical exercise against the body fat accumulation by high-fat diet. Wister male rats (9 week-old) were divided into 4 groups; 5 rats of sedentary, control diet (SC), 5 rats of sedentary, high-fat diet, 7 rats of exercised, control diet (EC), and 7rats of exercised, high-fat diet (EF). Rats in EC and EF voluntarily ran on wheel. Rats in SF gained most weight in 4 groups. Mean body weight at 13 month-old was 694.7 g in SF, 649.5 g in SC, 552.1 g in EF, or 473.8 g in EC. Mean rate of mesenteric fat to body weight was 2.93 % in SF, 2.43 % in SC, 1.83 % in EF, or 1.25 % in EC. The deviation among rats in EF was biggest: from 0.760 to 2.955 %. Fats under the seminal vesicle skin did not differ between groups (0.171 % in SF, 0.174 in SC, 0.176 in EF, or 0.131 in EC). In conclusion, physical exercise eliminates the effect of high-fat diet that easily accumulates intra-abdominal fat.
