Abstract
In This paper, I intend to study three problems about holy caves of Hangzhou and beliefs in them. First, it should be confirmed that this research becomes a basic research of religious exchange between Japan and China after the South-Son period. Secondly, the outline of the transition of the beliefs for about 750 years from South-Son period to the present age is to be identified. Thirdly, the religious culture of holy caves in Hangzhou(Quiyun-dong, Jinxing-dong, Tongming-dong, Zilai-dong, and Laohu-dong) is to be reported and analyzed.
