Abstract
The purpose of this study is to conduct a questionnaire survey about dietary intake and food awareness of women college students and is to examine the association between them. Results of the investigation show that the association between the food awareness and food groups was observed in cereals, dairy products, beans, bean products, vegetables and fruits. In these food groups, those who are aware of food intake resulted in greater intake than those who are not. However, no significant difference was observed in salt. Our results suggest that the awareness of certain food groups except for salt increased food intake amount. Cereals, vegetables and fruits did not satisfy the standard amount in spite of awared intake.
