Township and Mainstreet
-From the field survey on the 19th century ’ wilderness development of Middle West region in the United States-

Abstract

Through the field survey of country field , farm villages and small town in Middle West region of the United States, this study clarifies the township theory of the wilderness development and the small town planning theory in 19th century . And more, this study clarifies the spatial characteristics of University town .
