Abstract
@Richard Wright (1908-1960) was keen to represent African-American neighborhood of cities. He carefully described the racial boundaries of the space in Native Son (1940) and 12 Million Black Voices (1941). Even today, American cities have spatial boundaries of race and ethnicity, and it is hierarchically controlled by social and economic forces. Understanding Wrightfs argument, the author of this paper claims that the identity politics and multiculturalism are unrealistic solutions, because they confine a group of people in a particular place.
